A Bohemian Moroccan Wedding

With the slow season (aka Winter) upon them this outstanding team pull together a stunning earthy bohemian styled Moroccan wedding, captured by Breeanna Kay Photography, styled by Wed & Willow and filled to the brim with intricate and unexpected details, we just know you will love!

A Message from the Photographer:

Wisconsin winter months can be quite looming with the icy weather taking a toll on fiery, creative pursuits. That's why it's a perfect time to start dreaming up vibrant editorial shoots. We planned a colourful, culturally-inspired bridal shoot anchored in earthy, organic décor to inspire couples to see style and design in new, attainable ways, utilising eco-friendly options with modern authentic touches.

Modern couples look to this venue as a stunning blank space that they can dream up their own vision for. It's a photographer's dream with open space and textural walls.

We created a ceremony piece across a macramé or art installation with bohemian or fringe vibes utilizing pieces from a local event rentals vendor. Florals would be integrated throughout the shoot in the bouquet, ceremony site, and table décor. Floral tones; oranges, rust tones, reds, whites, and natural twigs and greens for wild filler.

Food highlights warm spices, fresh herbs, fruits, and colourful dishes. Stylish plating and dishes for table settings. Dessert is a decorative cake with henna detail designs against a simple colour palette. Tables have layering of natural textures such as ceramic, concrete, and wood. Settings will showcase decorative plates, goblets and candles. Colour palette will feature greens, muted greys, whites, and taupe's. Detailing throughout the styling pulled in cinnamon sticks, spices, herbs, and candles and incense throughout the table to highlight the culture, along with hand-dyed linen napkins, decorative table linen, fringe or macramé runners, antique gold hues.

Playing on intricate details and handwork in the stationary suite. Envelope liners, natural edge papers, and using leather or fabric linens into the design suite. Use of incense and other spiritual elements to further infuse the energy work of Eastern cultures. These could stay within a neutral palette or the opposite of warm saturated colours to really pop, with simple lines and modern script.

The bride is in a gown that is naturally flowing with intricate details. Menswear would be casual with a wedding edge. Hair and makeup will be natural with warm hues that compliment her skin tone. Includes white henna on hands.
