Britt and Isaac

Looking to take some time out of their busy schedules and spend it with each other, this gorgeous couple took their engagement celebrations to the next level with an epic photo shoot in Brisbane.

Mesmerised by this cute couple and stunning images we read Britt's email to discover that this love story began whilst both were on holidays overseas. Having served in the Australian Army, Isaac was on holidays from deployment when the couple met in Austria and then again in Rome.

They shared their first kiss underneath the Eiffel Tower, five years ago and pursued their romance via a long distance relationship. On new years day this year (2018) the couple were watching the sunrise at the most eastern point of Australia in Byron Bay when Isaac got down on one knee and asked Britt to marry him with a marquise cut Ceylon Sapphire he had designed himself with the help of master jeweller and designer Ashley Douglas

..."they met in Austria and again in Rome and shared their first kiss underneath the Eiffel Tower"...

Britt goes on to tell us they they were after the 'New Romanticism' look a very raw setting with rich colours and soft detailing and her biggest piece of advice is to "Trust your vendors!" not having an artistic flair herself she picked the vendors that listened to her ideas and were able to transform them into the vision the couple had of their engagement session.

Drawing on the couples connection to the military, Amanda from Peppermint Photography chose Fort Lytton Historic Military Precinct, in Brisbane as the backdrop for the couples session, explaining that it had the perfect combination of Australian Military history and raw romanticism that the couple craved. The historic fort consists of about a hectare of colonial buildings, tunnels and other fortified structures embedded in a protective earth-mound wall and surrounded by a ten meter wide water filled moat and provided an endless array of photographic opportunities.

Britt's describes her flowers as simply "spectacular, capturing the essence of what I wanted to create and elevating every moment" and we completely agree with her! Created by the talented Sarah Luthy of Gwen Floral Co. Featuring full luscious dusty pink roses and delicate white orchids this bouquet leaves us speechless and only able to view them in amazed silence.

Behind the stunning bridal look for Britt were the team at Hearts & Heroes Style, using only beautiful boutique vegan, cruelty free organic skincare and makeup brands they highlighted Britt's natural beauty and had her glowing with happiness, the perfect compliment to her stunning gown titled 'if you took a moment' designed and hand made in Melbourne by Nevenka. This extraordinary gown features a deep v halter neckline, and has a flowing silhouette and open back. The voluminous skirt features gore panels that create fluidity to its volume and this gowns understated luxury is emphasised through the use of fine french tailoring that results in the perfect fit and drape.

The couples invitations were created by Kenaina Adan of Small Brown Writes a Perth based Calligrapher and Stationer and were inspired by romantic baroque mirrors reminiscent of the mirror on the wall from Snow White's fairy tale and in our opinion are definitely fairy tale worthy!

Congratulations Britt and Isaac on your engagement and we can't wait to see and read, and publish your upcoming wedding. We encourage you to take a few moments to really look through all these stunning images of this epic session and click on the links and browse the work of all these talented vendors that helped bring Britt and Isaac's vision to life.
