Karly and Cameron

It's Flashback Fri-YAY again in the office tonight and we are rolling back the clock to take another look at the stunning wedding of Karly and Cameron O'Shea captured by one of all time favourite photographers Rachel of Rach Martin Photography at the spectacular Sirromet Winery at Mount Cotton in Queensland and officiated by James McLauchlan.

Attending senior year together, Karly and Cameron began dating on schoolies and after almost ten years together with many missed hints, Karly got tired of waiting for a proposal and decided to propose to Cameron herself. Karly tells us that it was nothing fancy. One night they were hanging out at home and she turned to him and said “so… do you want to get married?” he said yes, and they ordered celebratory pizza and then went and picked out a ring together.

Karly and her girls had their wedding day looks taken care of by Samantha and her team from Blake Designs Makeup Artistry. Founded by Samantha Blake in 2013, Blake Designs Makeup Artistry is based on a passion for art, beauty and creativity, taking what was initially a hobby to a full-time hair and makeup business. Customer service and personal connection with her clients is just as important to Samantha as getting the look perfect in every details on the day and it shows here with the stunning flawless glowing and radiant looks on Karly and the girls faces.

Karly and Cameron wanted a Modern Australian themed tradition wedding with classic styling and an abundance of seasonal and native flowers. With the florals being such an important part of the couples styling it was no surprise that it was also one of their favourite details from their day. Karly tells us " The flowers far exceeded my expectations, they were a real show stopper and really just brought the whole vision I had for the wedding styling together. The combination of gorgeous native proteas with seasonal blooms and native eucalyptus was amazing."

The stunning styling and floral work was the creative work of Nikki Bartlett of Enchanting Love, Nikki is passionate about the little details and with over 25 years of experience in the industry she knows what is important on your wedding day and how to make it a reality. Offering a full in house service spanning from full planning, wedding day coordination through to styling and floral design, Nikki and the team are guide you to select the perfect blooms to suit your theme, your budget and the season.

Surrounded by rolling vines and breathtaking scenery, Sirromet Winery promises a truly spectacular venue with limitless photo opportunities. So it comes as no surprise that when we asked Karly about their choice of venue she explained that while they had originally booked another venue everything changed when Karly attended a work function at Sirromet and fell in love. The couple immediately cancelled their first venue and rearranged dates, just so they could celebrate their day in the spectacular setting at Sirromet.

We asked Karly what the couples favourite moment from the wedding was and she responded with " After the bridal party photos were done, Rachel sent everyone else back to the cocktail hour and took Cameron and myself to have some shots on our own. We went to a back paddock and she asked us to practice our first dance. It was a really special moment where we could spend a few moments to soak the day in and just be together, something that we will both never forget!"

When it came to telling us what advice they would give to other couples planning their weddings at the moment they replied with a resounding stress less! Karly goes on to explain; "One of the best things we did was to make a huge effort not to stress too much in the lead up to the day, and as little as possible on the day itself - it's really important to delegate certain tasks so you don't need to worry about them, and then also to just accept that if some things go wrong or aren't perfect, it's not the end of the world - the last thing I wanted to do was look back on my wedding day and wish I'd spent less time stressing and more time having fun with all my friends and family!

We couldn't agree more with the couple, your wedding day should be about love and spending time with the people that you love the most in the world. So we invite you to sit back and relax as you discover some serious talent and inspiration for your big day from Karly and Cameron's incredible wedding and don't forget to check out it's original feature in our Spring 2018 Edition of the Becoming One Magazine.
