There is nothing we like more than a good old fashioned surprise and this stunning engagement session and surprise party captured by Chris x Jess Photo & Film has it all; from stunning vistas, to a gorgeous couple and emotional responses, and we just knew we had to learn and see more. So we caught up with Misha and Aaron to find out all about their story, the proposal and their plans.
Let’s start at the beginning. How did you two first meet?
Misha's mom was in town for a weekend, and it was a Friday night. Shabbat starts on Fridays, and both Aaron, Misha and Nancy ( Misha's Mom) attended. While everyone was taking their seats, Aaron secretly spoke to Nancy and mentioned to her, " I am going to date your daughter." Misha had no idea, and sat down 3 empty chairs next to Aaron. There were two words that changed our lives, and it was Nancy saying, " Scoot down". Misha and Aaron then sat next to each other and the rest was history.
hat makes your relationship special? Tell us some things that you both value in your time together. (example: pushing each other to new limits, love to travel, huge comic book fans, foodies, etc.) What makes your relationship unique?
Our relationship is so special because we are best friends. We don't argue- we talk about it. We never lie - we do not have secrets. We always have each others best interest with everything we do, whether that person is there or not. Our bond allows us to have laughs every day, adventures doing nothing, and a partnership that makes us the best team around.
How did you know your partner was the one? When did you first know this in your relationship? (these may often be the same moment, but aren’t always)
Before we dated, I told my mom, " If I date this boy, I am marrying him." I was right! We both knew right away in our first conversation with each other. It was as if all worries went away, and we found the person we have been looking for. It was this instant overwhelming love, and we both knew we would never leave each other.
Give us all the details about the proposal. How and where did it happen? Was it a surprise? What was the planning process?
It was a wonderful surprise! Aaron planned for our family and closest friends to be waiting for us at our house to surprise us with celebration and love. It was the best party I ever attended. Not only did we have all of the people we love around us that same night, he had the whole weekend planned. We had a beautiful bruch, with menus with our names on it! Then a fun dinner with everyone still celebrating. It was an absolute magical weekend. I had my parents and best friends, and he had his parents and best friends here. We don't live near anyone so everyone surprised me and flew in. He planned it so well!

This ring is the most amazing ring I have ever seen! It is a show stopper! I am in love with it and I can't stop looking at it. I smile every time I look down, and this thing in the sun light is unreal!
Are you excited to start planning your wedding day? Do you have any ideas in mind yet?
We are so excited to plan the wedding, this will be a fun can calm portion of our lives! We plan on not being stressed, but ensuring we do not miss a beat!We are going to have a large party, with amazing food, great decor, and dancing....tons of dancing! We are going to be breaking the glass for our first time! The traditional Jewish way!
