Tori & Ben's Barn Wedding

Today we join Blackall Photography in Aubrey, TX and take a look at the stunning barn wedding of Tori and Ben. This cute couple met on the first day of med school orientation in Virginia and quickly became friends. As time passed, their friendship grew into something more because, as Tori says, “being together just felt so natural and effortless.” After classes ended their second year, Ben suggested they take a weekend trip to unwind before studying for their exams. They rented a cabin in Tennessee for the weekend and on Saturday they drove into the Great Smoky Mountains to watch the sunrise. The sun was just peeking over the horizon when Ben asked Tori to be his wife. Of course, she said yes and wedding planning was underway.

They chose to say “I do” in Tori’s home state, Texas, at the Morgan Creek Barn in Aubrey. The theme was a boho-rustic mix and they included a candle lighting unity ritual in their ceremony.

Tori was radiant in her fitted gown by BERTA. Meanwhile, Ben was dapper in his navy blue suit. The wedding party was perfectly styled in shades of red and navy and all the guys wore American flag socks!

The reception décor featured a lush colour scheme of burgundy, navy and blush tones. So, tables were set with white linens and gold chargers. At the same time, a combination of tall and short centrepieces added dimension to the space. Vintage-inspired chandeliers and Edison lights lit up the dance floor and after dinner the newlyweds served two desserts. In addition to their traditional wedding cake they served a Chicago Cubs themed groom’s cake. The perfect nod to Ben’s Midwestern roots! As the evening came to a close, the newlyweds enjoyed a sparkler send off before taking off in their classic getaway car. Congratulations Tori and Ben!
