Shades of Blue

Something old, something new, something blue? Today we find ourselves falling in love with blue all over again, with this stunning tonally styled shoot at Carolina Country Weddings and Events, captured by Christina from The Shutter Owl Photography on day one of the Honestly Workshop by Posh Moments Photography.

With whimsical elegance being the order of the day, we can see why Carolina Country Weddings and Events was the teams go to venue. Located within an hour of Charlotte in North Carolina and only a short distance to multiple accomodation options for your guest this picture perfect venue has it all, including; 360 degree views of open meadows and a secluded woodland clearing. Situated on 260 acres of picturesque rolling hills, pastures and woodlands, Carolina Country Weddings specializes in creative outdoor weddings surrounded by nature's beauty.

The team chose to meld the natural beauty of the country the estate, with the modern bohemian look that is so on trend at the moment. Using elegant white washed pieces from the hire collection of A Bushel and A Peck Vintage Rentals along with pieces from the Bridal Suite at the Venue the team heighten the feeling of cool elegance and comfort that emanated from the venue. The addition of crisp linens, under delicately illustrated floral plates and flowing table drapery set the ultimate romantic mood for the couples sweetheart tablescape.

Hannah and Megan, the stunning brides that modeled for the team were the picture of bridal elegance styled in stunning outfits by designer Meagan Kelly Designs, their looks were completed with hair and make up by Glammed and Groomed with Jewellery from The Antiquarian ern princess.

Not to be outdone, the teams dapper groom Dylan rocked a suit from Beautiful Idiot Clothing featuring a deep gunmetal grey linen jacket, and pale blue pants with a stippled effect blue and grey tie. Dylan's look was brought together with the addition of a delicate white and native buttonhole crafted by the talented Vintage Soul Floral Design to match the bridal bouquet.

Cut Above Stationery designed the shoot's stationery suite, featuring classic calligraphy, golden wax seals and crisp and luxurious card stocks. The inspired addition of a marbelesque feature envelope added to the moody overtone of the day and created a sense of luxury that heightened the shoots elegance. The addition of the dark grey velvet styling mat from The Styling Mat added a layer of deeper tones that enabled the suite to stand out and the individual elements to shine.

One of our favourite elements of the shoot was the stunning detail in the buttercream cake created by the extremely talented team at The Wow Factor Cakes. The watercolour inspired tones to the cake combined with the floral like embellishments were reminiscent of the delicately embroidered floral motifs seen in the Megan Kelly Designs gown's. The subtle way the tones of blue, grey and charcoal move throughout this session has our eyes captivated and the elegance that is provided through the stunning floral design by Vintage Soul Floral Design is truly inspiring.

We invite you to sit back and relax as you enjoy the images from this incredible shoot and let us know what your favourite moment is, and don't forget to check out the list of vendors below and follow the links to discover some serious talent and inspiration for your big day!
